The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting the overall condition, functionality, safety, and readiness of the site’s buildings and general facility areas. This role performs, coordinates, and follows up on routine facility maintenance activities, including building repairs, minor maintenance, facility walkthroughs, vendor support, and general site upkeep.
The position supports operational continuity, employee safety, GMP readiness, and site appearance by ensuring facility deficiencies are identified, prioritized, documented, and corrected in a timely manner.

Perform routine facility maintenance activities, including minor repairs to walls, doors, flooring, ceiling tiles, fixtures, furniture, signage, and general building finishes.
Conduct routine facility walkthroughs to identify building deficiencies, safety concerns, housekeeping issues, facility damage, or conditions requiring maintenance follow-up.
Maintain and track general facility repair items from identification through completion.
Support the upkeep and repair of office areas, corridors, warehouses, utility spaces, GMP areas, breakrooms, gowning areas, storage rooms, and exterior building areas.
Perform and/or coordinate patching, painting, caulking, sealing, minor carpentry, door hardware repairs, furniture repairs, ceiling tile replacement, and other general building maintenance tasks.
Support facility readiness by helping ensure visible facility deficiencies are corrected prior to audits, inspections, client visits, and site walkthroughs.
Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for building repairs, contractor work, service visits, and general facility support activities.
Escort vendors and contractors as needed, verify work completion, and ensure work areas are left clean, safe, and acceptable for use.
Document completed repairs, walkthrough findings, open items, vendor activities, and follow-up actions as required.
Support pest-control readiness, identifying and reporting building integrity issues such as gaps, damaged door sweeps, wall penetrations, damaged seals, or exterior deficiencies.
Assist with moving furniture, setting up spaces, organizing storage areas, supporting office moves, and maintaining general facility order.
Escalate urgent, recurring, or high-risk facility issues to Facilities and Engineering leadership.
Support preventive maintenance activities related to building systems and general facility assets, as assigned.
Recognize and troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment without direct supervision
Assist in the procurement of stock and repair parts
Follow site safety requirements, GMP expectations, company procedures, and good documentation practices when performing assigned work.
Occasional weekend and/or off-hour work may be required.
Other responsibilities as needed
High School Diploma or GED with 3-5 years of prior work experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, general maintenance, construction, trades, or a related field.
Experience using a CMMS or work order system.
Experience performing basic maintenance functions (installation of door sweeps, door closers, door handles, painting, caulking, etc.)
Ability to coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal departments.
Ability to prioritize work and communicate issues clearly.
Basic computer skills for work orders, trackers, email, and documentation.
Ability to follow safety procedures, site policies, and documentation requirements.
Ability to identify facility deficiencies and follow through on corrective actions.
Reliable mode of transportation.
Able to work standing, sitting, twisting, stooping, walking, bending, and reaching overhead for long periods of time.
Able to wear appropriate gowning covering most parts of the body and face.
Able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs.
Experience working in a GMP, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, manufacturing, or regulated environment.
Familiarity with facility walkthroughs, inspection readiness, vendor coordination, and maintenance documentation.
Basic knowledge of building systems, including doors, plumbing, lighting, HVAC support areas, flooring, and general facility infrastructure.
