We are seeking an Associate Director of Quality to join our expanding team.
The Global Controller is a key finance leader responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and scalability of the company’s global financial operations. This role leads all aspects of accounting, revenue recognition, billing, collections, and tax compliance, while maintaining strong internal controls and adherence to GAAP and SOX requirements.
This position operates within an AI-first finance organization, leveraging advanced technologies (ie, Claude) to automate processes, enhance insights, and drive efficiency. The Global Controller is expected to champion the implementation of AI across the controllership function, modernizing finance operations and enabling real-time, data-driven decision-making.
The role also plays a critical part in ERP implementation (SAP S/4HANA), ensuring scalable systems, standardized processes, and global financial consistency.
Lead global monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, speed, and consistency
Oversee preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Maintain global ownership of the general ledger, reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity
Lead technical accounting assessments for complex transactions
Coordinate and manage external audits and statutory reporting requirements
Own revenue recognition processes (ASC 606) across all business units
Oversee billing operations to ensure accuracy and alignment with customer contracts
Drive global collections strategy, improving DSO and cash conversion
Partner with commercial teams to optimize pricing execution and revenue realization
Establish and monitor end-to-end order-to-cash KPIs
Own global tax compliance and reporting across jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulations
Partner with external tax advisors to manage corporate income tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing matters
Ensure timely and accurate filings, provisions, and tax disclosures
Support tax planning initiatives in collaboration with advisors and leadership
Maintain strong documentation and controls to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance
Champion an AI-first controllership model, embedding AI into accounting, reporting, and revenue processes
Leverage AI tools for reconciliations, variance analysis, journal entry support, and reporting automation
Drive adoption of intelligent workflows and automation to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy
Develop AI-powered insights for anomaly detection, forecasting support, and performance monitoring
Continuously identify opportunities to digitize and modernize global finance processes
Design and maintain global internal controls framework and company policies
Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory, and audit requirements across regions
Continuously improve the control environment, leveraging automation where possible
Maintain and evolve accounting policies, procedures, and documentation
Lead controllership engagement in ERP implementation (SAP S/4HANA), including global process design, testing, and deployment
Drive process standardization, simplification, and automation across geographies
Partner with IT to deploy best-in-class finance systems and reporting tools
Ensure systems enable real-time, scalable, and AI-driven finance operations
Lead global cash flow discipline, including AR, collections, and coordination with AP
Improve cash conversion cycle (DSO, DPO, DIO) through cross-functional initiatives
Ensure alignment between revenue, collections, and cash flow forecasting
Embed a cash-focused mindset across business processes
Build and lead a high-performing global controllership organization
Develop capabilities in AI, systems, analytics, and business partnering
Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
Equip teams with modern tools and training for an AI-enabled finance environment
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA; MBA a plus)
12+ years of progressive experience in controllership or accounting leadership roles
Proven experience managing global accounting, revenue, and tax compliance functions
Experience in ERP implementations (SAP S/4HANA preferred)
Experience driving process transformation and automation initiatives
Life sciences or regulated industry experience preferred
Technical & Leadership Capabilities
Deep expertise in GAAP, ASC 606, and global compliance requirements
Strong understanding of record-to-report and order-to-cash cycles
Demonstrated experience leveraging or implementing AI tools (e.g., Claude) within finance workflows
Proven ability to drive automation, scalability, and operational excellence
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders globally
